This is my go-to task management tool! It allows collaboration with others and is quick to get comfortable with. The app is also great for on the go. There's also a tool called Templana (https://templana.com/) that provides free templates to use within Asana.

An app for teams which includes task management, project management and collaborative tools. Some features include document management, centralized messaging, a calendar with a high-level view of upcoming deadlines as well as the ability to integrate with popular apps like Evernote, Dropbox and more.

Great project management tool that also allows for collaboration. It’s so easy to use and has such an intuitive interface that the first time I checked it out I was able to dive right in without any tutorial. This tool includes to-do-lists, calendaring, file-sharing and more.

This task management tool is very robust and intuitive. One top feature is it’s great cross-platform support, such as seeing your tasks on a monthly calendar that syncs with Google Calendar.

Flow is a team task manager tool that makes it easy to delegate tasks, prioritize to-do lists, and make sure nothing gets missed. My favorite thing about this tool is how easy it is to create new projects and how useful the different viewing options are.

Free alternative to Basecamp.

This app is for team management which focuses on recurring tasks. It has lots of features including file sharing, messaging and screen monitoring.

Complete projects, track time, plan resources and monitor financial performance.

MeisterTask uses kanban boards to allow for customized lists for each phase of your project. It also has the ability to integrate with MindMeister, an online mind mapping app that allows you brainstorm with others.

App and website that is designed to be simple. It’s features allow the user to designate how long a task will take, how much energy you’ll need for it and more.

It’s a free tool when used for yourself, but there are charges when additional users are added. Some nice features include the sum of the task durations and team collaboration.

OneNote

OneNote works seamlessly with Outlook's task list. This is especially helpful as you can categorize, set reminders, and keep all completed tasks as reference. An added bonus is the ability to access OneNote remotely.

Great app to get to-do items out of your head and for setting reminders.

This Chrome extension is a time logging service for Gmail. As soon as you open an email, it tracks how much time you've spent reading or writing it.

This tool is great for time tracking, invoicing and more. There is virtually no end to the types of reports you can generate with it.

RescueTime helps you understand your daily habits so you can focus and be more productive.

This app is great for scheduling and time tracking simultaneously. Some pros are it’s calendar integration and reporting features.

This time tracker is built for speed and ease of use. Some top features are the simple interface, the ability to analyze productivity and being able to pull reports on basically anything.

Free for teams up to three people, this app has great analytics and integration features, time estimates, desktop and mobile apps and allows for CSV imports.
