Happy Administrative Professionals Day!
I know not all of you will be recognized. Some of you will feel indifferent or a bit hurt. And the lucky ones who are appreciated throughout the year might not feel strongly about this day at all.
I wanted to take a moment to recognize all of you, no matter how you feel about today.
Whether you work in an office, in someone's home, virtually, or a combination of these, your efforts are seen. Your dedication, resourcefulness, relentless positive attitude, willingness to do whatever is needed at any moment, and countless other amazing traits are appreciated. Thank you for the wonderful impact you have made on so many peoples' lives, whether that impact is pointed out or not; you know how crucial you have been to the success of others (as well as their businesses).
I hope you feel proud of what you have accomplished so far and are looking forward to continuing to rock at what you do!
No matter if you feel recognized or not, I want to suggest building up your network if you haven't already. What does this have to do with Administrative Professionals Day, you might ask? It is a way to feel acknowledgment and support on a more ongoing basis. I have moved several times and know the work involved but trust me - it is worth the effort. (Here are some helpful tips on how to find your people through networking if you need a place to start.) Only your fellow support professionals will ever fully "get it" and it feels amazing to know others in our field that want to be there for each other.
Let's raise a virtual glass in support of each other - Happy Administrative Professionals Day to all of us! 🥂
